Throughout his life Juan Miro has shown a real interest in the diversity of materials, shapes and colors. This made him explore and experience various forms of art such as painting, sculpture, ceramics, theater and others.
Juan Miro Foundation of Barcelona
The museum of the Juan Miro Foundation houses the private art collection of Juan Miro. This counts over 11 thousand works of the artist. The building that houses the museum is designed by the architect Luis Sert and is a perfect example of rationalist architecture in Catalonia.
The Juan Miro Foundation is a major point of reference in the world artistic circuit. His exhibition program includes works from the historical avant-garde to the last trends in art today. The activity of the foundation focuses on two main aspects, the works and work of Juan Miro on the one hand and the work of other contemporary artists who reflect the current diversity of the art scene on the other.
